Vintage Clothing Store in Suffolk County, NY
Find one-of-a-kind vintage fashion at our vintage clothing store in Suffolk County, NY. At Hoare & Hoare Antiques, we curate wearable history — garments and accessories that combine timeless style with quality craftsmanship. From French workwear and handwoven scarves to upcycled pieces with a modern twist, our collection is perfect for those who appreciate individuality and sustainability in fashion.
Our locations in East Hampton and Bridgehampton offer a rotating selection of vintage clothing for women and men, each item chosen by owner and curator Zoe Hoare for its authenticity, quality, and ability to elevate everyday style.
Why Vintage Clothing?
Vintage clothing is more than a style choice — it’s an expression of individuality. Each garment tells a story, whether it’s a well-worn denim jacket from mid-century France, a silk blouse with intricate embroidery, or a hand-knit sweater passed down through generations.
Buying vintage also supports sustainable fashion. Rather than contributing to the cycle of fast fashion, vintage shopping gives existing garments a second life, reducing waste while offering unmatched quality and uniqueness. As Zoe explains, “Vintage fashion is about celebrating clothing that was made to last — and wearing pieces that no one else will have.”

Upcycled & Restyled Pieces – Vintage garments given new life through creative tailoring, dyeing, and embellishment.
Vintage Dresses & Blouses – Feminine, wearable pieces that range from casual daywear to romantic evening options.
Outerwear – From military-inspired coats to lightweight linen jackets, our vintage outerwear adds instant character to any outfit.
Accessories – Unique handbags, hats, belts, and jewelry that bring a vintage finishing touch to your look.
Our inventory changes frequently, with new arrivals from Zoe’s buying trips and Hamptons estate finds appearing in-store throughout the year.
Style That Tells a Story
Wearing vintage means wearing a piece of history. Every garment has its own unique patina — the softened fabric, the subtle fading, the small hand-stitched repairs — that tells of a life well-lived. These details can’t be replicated by mass-produced clothing and are exactly what make vintage so special.
Zoe’s philosophy is to blend these storied pieces into everyday life. A vintage French chore jacket over a crisp white tee, a floral silk scarf paired with modern denim, or a hand-knit cardigan layered over a minimalist dress — these combinations create personal, distinctive style.
Perfect for Designers, Stylists, and Individuals
We work with fashion stylists, costume designers, and boutique owners looking for unique pieces, as well as individuals building their personal wardrobes. Our clothing is equally suited to editorial photo shoots, theater productions, and everyday wear.
Designers love our collection for its authenticity and variety, while individual shoppers appreciate that each piece is truly one of a kind.

Sourcing and Quality
Every item in our vintage clothing collection is personally sourced by Zoe from European markets, American vintage shows, and trusted suppliers. We look for well-made garments with quality fabrics, thoughtful construction, and enduring style. Many pieces are left in their original condition, while others are lightly restored to ensure they are wearable and ready for modern wardrobes.
How to Incorporate Vintage Clothing into Your Wardrobe
Vintage clothing works beautifully when mixed with contemporary pieces. Start with a single statement item — like a French work jacket or a hand-dyed scarf — and pair it with wardrobe staples. Layering is key; combine textures, patterns, and eras for a look that feels effortless and personal.
Zoe often helps customers choose pieces that not only fit well but also fit their lifestyle, offering styling tips to make vintage clothing a natural part of their daily wear.
